Ingredients of Homemade Rolls

  1. 2 cups of skim milk.
  2. 6 cups of flour.
  3. 1/2 cup of shortening.
  4. 2 Tablespoons of Yeast.
  5. 1/4 cup of warm water.
  6. 2 Tablespoon of Sugar.
  7. 1/2 cup of sugar.
  8. 2 tsp of salt.
  9. 2 of eggs.

  2. Heat milk and shortening until it bubbles, then let it cook until warm..
  3. Dissolve Yeast and 1 tablespoon of sugar in warm water and wait until it doubles. (Around 10 mins).
  4. Add milk mixture, salt, sugar, yeast mixture, and eggs. Beat..
  5. Add in 2 cups of flour and beat again. Continue adding flour until dough pulls from the sides. (Less is more).
  6. Put dough in greased bowl and let rise. Until double in size (around 1 hour).
  7. Punch dough down and let rise again. (At this point, dough may be refrigerated overnight).
  8. Once you’re ready to cook, divide dough into 4 balls and roll out into 14” circles (there will be 8-10 rolls per circle). Shape roles, and place onto greased pan. Brush with melted butter and let rise until double. (Around 1 hour.).
  9. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. And enjoy..
